New technique may offer faster, safer removal of small rectal tumors

Summary
This study compares two ways to remove small rectal neuroendocrine tumors (less than 1 cm). The new method, called modified double snare EMR, may be as effective as the standard ESD procedure but faster and with fewer complications. About 118 adults with these tumors will be randomly assigned to one of the two procedures to see which works better.
