First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looked at 60 women with PCOS to compare two doses of a birth control pill (20 vs 30 micrograms of estrogen) on hormone levels. Both pills helped lower a key hormone marker called free androgen index over 3 months. The goal was to see if the lower dose works as well with fewer side effects.
