First seen Jan 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study compared two surgical methods for removing large upper ureteric stones (over 10 mm) in 100 adults. One method approaches the stone from the kidney down (antegrade), the other from the bladder up (retrograde). The goal was to see which technique clears stones more completely and safely, and which leads to shorter hospital stays and lower costs.
