Steroid showdown: which drug saves more lives in severe pneumonia?

Summary
This study compares two common steroids—hydrocortisone and prednisolone—in adults hospitalized with severe community-acquired pneumonia. The main goal is to see if one reduces deaths within 30 days more than the other. About 1,600 participants will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two drugs, and researchers will track survival, side effects, and need for intensive care.
