Speech sounds vs. standard jaw push: which sleep apnea device fits better?
NCT ID NCT05553860
First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tested two methods for setting the jaw position in dental sleep apnea devices: one using speech sounds and the other using the standard forward-push technique. Eleven adults with obstructive sleep apnea tried both methods to see if they worked equally well. The goal was to find out if using speech could be a simpler or more comfortable way to fit the device.
