First seen Apr 21, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tested a new imaging technique called restriction spectrum imaging (RSI) to see if it can detect breast cancer as well as standard breast MRI but in less time. Researchers compared RSI scans to conventional and abbreviated breast MRIs in 460 women undergoing routine screening. The goal was to find out if RSI offers a faster, accurate option for breast cancer detection.
