First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study compares two materials used in surgery to treat gum disease around dental implants: a new reinforced PTFE mesh (RPM) and a standard collagen membrane. About 32 adults with infected implants will receive one of the two materials during a submerged surgical procedure. The goal is to see which material better reduces gum pocket depth and restores bone around the implant.
