First seen Jan 28, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study compared two radiation techniques for people with early-stage breast cancer after surgery. One method targets only the tumor area (accelerated partial breast irradiation), while the other treats the whole breast. The goal was to see which causes fewer side effects like skin problems, pain, or heart issues. About 140 participants were followed to check side effects, cancer return, and quality of life.
