First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested two different robotic surgery techniques for removing the prostate in men with prostate cancer. The goal was to see which method helps patients regain bladder control sooner after surgery. Sixty men were randomly assigned to receive either the new PAL (Posterior-Anterior-Lateral) approach or the standard posterior approach. The main focus was on how quickly they achieved continence (using zero or one safety pad per day) within the first three months after surgery.
