New study aims to improve pain control after cancer surgery

Summary
This study compares two different methods for prescribing opioid pain medication to people recovering from abdominal cancer surgery. The goal is to find which approach provides better pain control with fewer side effects. About 170 adults having certain types of abdominal surgery at MD Anderson Cancer Center will take part.
