First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests whether a newer breathing support mode called NAVA helps infants with bronchiolitis breathe more comfortably and reduces the need for a breathing tube compared to standard support. About 130 children under age 2 in the pediatric ICU will take part. The goal is to see if better synchronization with the baby's own breathing leads to better outcomes.
