First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looked at 60 adults who had chest surgery (thoracotomy) to see if using two different nerve blocks together works better than one alone for pain relief. Participants received either a single nerve block or a combination of two blocks. Researchers measured pain scores and painkiller use over 72 hours after surgery. The goal was to find a better way to manage pain and reduce complications.
