Knee repair showdown: which biologic boost works best?
NCT ID NCT04775004
First seen Nov 16, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study compares two ways to help heal a torn meniscus in the knee: a bone marrow venting procedure versus a platelet-rich plasma injection. About 146 participants aged 16 and older with certain types of meniscal tears will be followed after surgery to see which method leads to better function and fewer re-tears. The goal is to find the best approach to improve recovery and reduce the need for repeat surgery.
