First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026

Summary

This study compares two techniques (C-E and V-E) for holding a face mask to help patients breathe during general anesthesia. About 206 adults having elective surgery will take part. Researchers will measure how well each method delivers air and how easy it is for the doctor to use.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

What this could lead to

If one technique proves better, it could lead to safer, more effective breathing support during anesthesia.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-stage study focused on short-term breathing measures, not long-term outcomes. Results may not apply to all patients.
