Less invasive jaw surgery put to the test against standard procedure
NCT ID NCT07297459
Summary
This study compares two surgeries for a painful jaw joint condition where the disc slips out of place. Researchers are looking back at the records of 65 patients who had either a less invasive arthroscopic procedure or a more traditional open surgery. They aim to see which method better improves jaw opening, reduces pain, and leads to a faster recovery with fewer side effects.
