Two ways to fix a broken jaw: which works better?

NCT ID NCT06938438

Summary

This study compared two surgical methods for fixing a broken jawbone. Twenty adult patients with a specific type of jaw fracture were randomly assigned to have their bone fixed with either one special locking plate or two standard plates. Doctors then tracked their recovery for six months, checking healing, pain, swelling, and whether the hardware held up.
