First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tests two different machines that pump gas into the belly during laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (a weight-loss surgery). The goal is to see if one device causes less pain in the shoulder, neck, chest, and belly after surgery. About 74 adults aged 22 to 65 having planned sleeve gastrectomy will be randomly assigned to one of the two devices. Researchers will measure pain levels and how long the procedure, recovery, and hospital stay take.
