First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tested two different drug combinations to prevent kidney transplant rejection in patients with a high risk of rejection. Sixty adults receiving a kidney transplant were given either basiliximab or anti-thymocyte globulin (ATG), along with standard medications. The goal was to see which approach better prevented treatment failure, such as rejection or graft loss, within the first 6 months after transplant.
