Gum repair showdown: minimally invasive surgery vs. guided cleaning, both boosted by natural healing proteins

NCT ID NCT06768424

First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026

Summary

This study tests two treatments for a single deep gum pocket (at least 4 mm deep). One uses a small surgical procedure, the other a deep cleaning method; both are combined with platelet-rich fibrin, a concentrate from the patient's own blood that may help healing. 36 adults with good oral hygiene and who are not heavy smokers will be followed to see which approach leads to more bone fill and healthier gums.
