Home dialysis patients needed for study to find best way to detect dangerous fluid buildup

NCT ID NCT07178470

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study compares three ways to check for fluid overload (too much fluid in the body) in people doing dialysis at home: a symptom questionnaire, a physical exam, and a lung ultrasound. Fluid overload is a common reason for hospital visits in home dialysis patients. The goal is to see which method works best, so doctors can catch problems earlier and improve care.
