Study tests which fluid drainage method is faster and less painful
NCT ID NCT07184736
Summary
This study compared two techniques for draining excess fluid from around the lungs in patients with severe breathing difficulty. Researchers tested whether manually pulling fluid with a syringe or letting it drain by gravity worked better. They measured how long each procedure took, how much fluid was removed, and how much pain or coughing patients experienced.
