5-Second fillings: could a speedier dental cure be just as good for kids?
NCT ID NCT07212660
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study compares two methods of hardening a tooth-colored filling material in children's baby teeth. One method uses a fast 5-second light, the other a standard longer light. The goal is to see if the fast method works just as well and is as safe. About 70 children with cavities in two different baby molars will take part, and their fillings will be checked for pain and performance over 12 months.
