Eye drop showdown: three Anti-Inflammables battle to prevent Post-Surgery swelling

NCT ID NCT07178639

First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 24, 2026

Summary

This trial compares three different NSAID eye drops—bromfenac, nepafenac, and diclofenac—to see which one best prevents macular edema (swelling) after cataract surgery. About 150 adults having cataract surgery will be randomly assigned to one of the three drops. They will be followed for six weeks with eye exams and vision tests to measure outcomes.
