Eye drop showdown: three Anti-Inflammatories battle to save sight after cataract surgery

NCT ID NCT07178639

First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study compares three different NSAID eye drops (bromfenac, nepafenac, and diclofenac) to see which one best prevents cystoid macular edema, a type of swelling that can blur vision after cataract surgery. About 150 adults having cataract surgery will be randomly assigned to one of the three drops. They will be followed for six weeks with eye exams and vision tests. The goal is to find the most effective option for routine use.
