Summary
This study looks at people with type 2 diabetes whose blood sugar is not well controlled with pills. All participants will first receive a short course of intensive insulin therapy in the hospital. Then, they will be randomly assigned to one of three different drug plans to see which one keeps blood sugar under control best for the next 24 weeks. The goal is to find a simple and effective long-term treatment option.
