New sinus scan uses less radiation than traditional CT
NCT ID NCT02397148
Summary
This study compared two imaging methods—CT scans and cone beam imaging—for diagnosing sinus problems. Researchers tested both methods on 50 adults with sinus symptoms to see if they produced similar results. The main goal was to determine if cone beam imaging, which uses less radiation, could provide equally useful information as traditional CT scans.
