New Colon-Sparing surgery could improve cancer outcomes
NCT ID NCT05923255
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study compares a newer, less invasive surgery (LISH) that saves part of the colon to the standard surgery (TRH) for people with colon cancer in specific areas. The goal is to see if the newer surgery leads to better long-term survival without the cancer coming back. About 568 adults with colon cancer will be randomly assigned to one of the two surgeries and followed for 3 years.
