First seen Nov 04, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study compares two methods (waveform capnography and colorimetric carbon dioxide detection) to confirm that a breathing tube is correctly placed in the windpipe of critically ill adults. About 1,332 patients in emergency rooms or intensive care units will be enrolled. The goal is to see which test is more accurate at detecting correct tube placement.
