Jail-to-Freedom: new study tests better opioid treatment for inmates

Summary
This study tests if a monthly injection of buprenorphine works better than daily pills for people with opioid use disorder leaving jail. 240 adults will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatments while still in jail and followed for 12 months after release. The goal is to see which approach reduces opioid use and relapse more effectively.
