First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study compares two procedures—EUS-guided drainage and ERCP-guided drainage—for relieving bile duct blockages caused by cancers of the pancreas or bile ducts. About 40 adults with advanced cancer will be randomly assigned to one of the two methods. The goal is to see which approach keeps the drainage tube (stent) working longer and has fewer complications.
