Summary
This study tests if giving the antibiotic vancomycin directly into the bone during diabetic foot amputation works better than the standard IV method to prevent surgical infections. It includes 40 adults with diabetes who need a below-knee amputation. Researchers will compare infection rates, kidney effects, and the need for additional surgeries over 90 days.
