First seen Apr 03, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tested two different IV drug combinations used to sedate people during wisdom tooth removal. 73 patients received either a mix of nitrous oxide, midazolam, fentanyl, and ketamine, or the same mix with propofol instead of ketamine. Researchers measured how quickly patients recovered, their satisfaction, and memory of the procedure to help design a larger future study.
