First seen Feb 17, 2026 · Last updated Jun 07, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tests whether a virtual, community-based program combining music and mindfulness can help manage stress, anxiety, and depression in people of African descent during COVID-19. About 48 participants aged 16 and older will join online sessions and have their brain activity and feelings of social connection measured. The goal is to see if culturally relevant music makes mindfulness more effective for stress relief.
