Neighbors helping seniors stay healthy: new program tests community support
NCT ID NCT07428174
Summary
This study is testing whether having a trained community health worker available at senior centers helps older adults improve their health. About 250 adults aged 60+ who attend meal programs at six centers in Kentucky will participate. Researchers will compare centers with the health worker (available 4 hours a week for 4 months) to centers with usual services, looking at changes in blood pressure, physical activity, diet, and emotional well-being.
