Village health workers armed with tablets and test kits to fight silent killers
NCT ID NCT05596773
Summary
This study aims to see if training local village health workers to provide regular screening and basic care can improve the management of chronic diseases like high blood pressure and diabetes in rural Lesotho. It will enroll up to 17,500 residents from selected villages. The health workers will use tablets and simple medical tools to check people, provide advice, and refer them to clinics when needed, creating a community-based support system.
