Every second counts: can Pocket-Sized defibrillators double cardiac arrest survival?

NCT ID NCT07042061

First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether giving trained volunteers a small, portable defibrillator (AED) can help them treat cardiac arrest faster. About 1,000 volunteers in Singapore will carry the device for up to a year and use it when alerted to a nearby emergency. The goal is to see if this approach is practical and can improve survival rates.
