Screen reading mode may soothe tired eyes

NCT ID NCT07032909

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested whether a 'comfort reading mode'—changing background and text colors on a screen—can prevent dry eyes and visual fatigue. 35 adults read on a screen for 45 minutes under different color settings. Researchers measured eye fatigue and dry eye symptoms before and after reading. The goal was to see if simple screen adjustments can make reading easier on the eyes.
