Mom's voice & a cozy blanket: a simple plan to soothe scared kids in the hospital
NCT ID NCT07441668
Summary
This study is testing whether a simple, non-drug comfort package can help children feel better during a stressful hospital stay. Kids in the intensive care unit will receive a combination of listening to their mother's voice, having the lights dimmed, and using a weighted blanket, in addition to normal care. Researchers will measure if this helps reduce the children's fear and anxiety, improves their sleep, and also eases their parents' worry.
