Laughter as medicine: comedy films ease transplant anxiety
NCT ID NCT06919588
Summary
This study tested whether watching short clips from classic Turkish comedy films could help patients feel less anxious before liver transplant surgery. Researchers worked with 120 liver transplant recipients, measuring their anxiety levels and vital signs before and after watching the films. The goal was to see if a simple, enjoyable distraction could make the stressful pre-surgery period easier for patients.
