Brain and spine zaps together may restore arm movement after paralysis

NCT ID NCT07586644

First seen May 17, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026

Summary

This study tests a new approach to help people with chronic incomplete cervical spinal cord injury regain arm and hand function. It combines two types of non-invasive stimulation—one on the brain and one on the spine—along with standard rehabilitation. The goal is to see if the combination works better than spine stimulation alone. The trial will involve 24 adults and measure changes in arm strength over 12 weeks.
