Double attack on severe bowel disease could prevent surgery
NCT ID NCT07297069
Summary
This study is testing whether using two different medications together works better than using either one alone for adults hospitalized with a severe flare-up of ulcerative colitis who haven't responded to standard steroid treatment. Researchers want to see if the combination leads to faster improvement in symptoms and bowel healing, and reduces the need for surgery, over a 10-week period. The trial will involve 60 participants and is in its early testing phase.
