New drug cocktail shows promise against tough head and neck cancers

Summary
This study tests a combination of three treatments—ficerafusp alfa, pembrolizumab, and targeted radiation—given before surgery for people with advanced head and neck cancer that is HPV-negative. About 45 participants will receive the drugs and radiation, then undergo standard surgery and follow-up care. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and can completely eliminate the tumor before surgery.
