Experimental combo targets Hard-to-Treat lymphoma
NCT ID NCT05896163
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested two experimental drugs, maplirpacept and glofitamab, given after a single dose of obinutuzumab, in adults with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) that had returned or not responded to prior treatments. Participants had already tried at least two standard therapies and could not or would not have a stem cell transplant. The goal was to find a safe and effective dose of the combination. However, the trial was terminated early, so full results are not available.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- maplirpacept (PF-07901801) combined with glofitamab and obinutuzumab
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could offer a new treatment option for people with DLBCL who have run out of standard therapies and cannot have a stem cell transplant.
- What could go wrong
- This trial was terminated early, so results may be limited. It is also an early-phase study (Phase 1b/2) with a small number of participants, so safety and effectiveness are not yet proven.
