New drug cocktail shows promise for tough blood cancers

Summary
This study tests a combination of two chemotherapy drugs (CPX-351 and gemtuzumab ozogamicin) in about 50 adults with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) that has returned or not responded to treatment, or with high-risk myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). The goal is to see if the combo is safe and effective at controlling the disease. Participants receive the drugs in the hospital, and researchers track side effects and how well the cancer responds.
