First seen Apr 10, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study aims to develop a new way to detect if a coma patient has hidden awareness (cognitive-motor dissociation) by analyzing brain signals after a mild wrist nerve stimulation. Researchers will enroll 50 adults in intensive care with severe brain injury and a low Glasgow Coma Score. The goal is to improve how doctors predict recovery and guide treatment decisions.
