New immunotherapy combo aims to stop colorectal cancer relapse

NCT ID NCT07058012

First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated Jun 04, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests whether immunotherapy drugs (cemiplimab alone or with fianlimab) can clear leftover cancer DNA in the blood of colorectal cancer patients after surgery and chemotherapy. About 79 adults with stage II/III colon or rectal cancer who still have cancer DNA markers will receive these treatments. The goal is to see if the drugs can make the cancer DNA disappear and keep it gone for 12 months, potentially delaying or preventing the cancer from returning.
