New blood test could warn colon cancer patients of hidden danger
NCT ID NCT07177742
Summary
This study aims to find a better way to predict which colon cancer patients are at high risk for the cancer spreading to their liver after surgery. Researchers will test a specific protein (PRDX1) found in a special type of blood sample taken during surgery. They will follow 260 patients after their operations to see if high levels of this protein accurately forecast future liver metastasis.
