Summary
This study looked at whether colorectal cancer patients need continued medical monitoring after five years of being cancer-free. Researchers analyzed data from 598 patients who had their tumors surgically removed with the goal of cure. The goal was to understand how often cancer returns after this period to help doctors create better long-term follow-up plans.
