Hospital study aims for cleaner colonoscopies with Add-On medication
NCT ID NCT04361656
Summary
This study aimed to see if adding a medication called lubiprostone to the standard colonoscopy prep drink would lead to better bowel cleansing for hospitalized patients. Better cleansing helps doctors see the colon more clearly during the procedure. The study planned to compare prep quality and patient satisfaction before and after adding the medication, but it was withdrawn before any patients were enrolled.
