Simple clip could help spot hidden colon cancer risks
NCT ID NCT03560037
Summary
This study tested whether a small, disposable attachment for a colonoscope could help doctors find more of a specific type of flat, hard-to-see polyp that can lead to colon cancer. Over 400 people getting routine screening colonoscopies were randomly assigned to have the procedure with or without the attachment. The goal was to see if the device improved detection rates for these subtle growths.
