Scans vs scopes: which colon cancer test do patients prefer?
NCT ID NCT00748449
Summary
This study compared CT colonography (a special type of CT scan) to traditional colonoscopy for finding advanced polyps in people at high risk for colorectal cancer. Researchers wanted to see which test patients were more willing to complete and which was more effective at finding dangerous growths. The trial involved patients with a personal or family history of colon cancer or advanced polyps.
